Title: Tarnation
Description: Tarnation is an unique real time strategy games produced by Brad Merriit. Real time strategy might sound a little weird here since you don't see much of such genre in flash games. It's not c&c, but a simplified drag & release defense games in real time. In the game, you take control of the seed armies defending the bugs from polluting the stream river in front of your comfy flower bed.
Before explaining the gameplay mechanics, just to let you know that you control everything by mouse, no keyboard controls here. There are three different color bugs in the game and they can only be destroyed by same color flowers. To turn seed into flowers bug attacker, drag boxes across the seeds in different direction. The colors of the seeds will change depends on the corner you start and direction you drag. For example start dragging from the left side to bottom left will unleashes red seeds and from right corner to bottom left unleashes blue seeds. There's a colors arrow instruction on the top left screen, follow the direction to makes different colors seed. The game started with a trial of game play instruction, read carefully and you should be able to understand the gameplay.
Tarnation is a simple yet creatively designed game, but it's by no means an easy game. The numbers of seed sending and speed play a crucial role in this game. If you don't like fast thinking game, you'll not get too far in Tarnation. Otherwise, Tarnation is a great looking and challenging game. It's rare to see flash game to achieved such dept and flexibility with one button only.
