Title: Onekey
Description: There is no denying that Nitrome makes great arcade style games, they pay attention to every little details possible and they always have great ideas on games. Onekey is one of the more unique games i've seen, you control everything on the screen just by one key, that's space bar, just as its title suggested. The catch here is you are controlling all the objects but not the characters, without the make, the character do resemble Japan mascot Domo kun. That's not the main point here, your objective is to help him through 20 levels of dangerous situation. The main character will keep on moving forward, and your job is to wait for the right time to press the space button, either to help him avoiding spikes or getting extra gems. The tricky part here is that you can't choose what objects to manipulate, one space button trigger all objects on screen including arrow traps and enemies, you have to think fast and act quickly, or he will charge right into the wooden spikes looking for another trophies for his mask. Every time i write about a Nitrome game, i have to keep repeating how gorgeous the game was. The character design was cute, the level design is deep and the music was actually great too. But just my personal preference, i found that the 16-bit music is a little unpleasant to the ears after a while. I know nitrome is trying to stay true to their concept and bring those nostalgic feeling back again for those old time gamers. I still think they should produce the game with high quality music, it is such a waste that the great music has been toned down to 16-bit.
