Description: Developer over Nitrome never seize to impress me with their pixel art style flash games. The in game music is equally amazing, it was such a waste that they are composed in 16-bit to keep it old school arcade style. But still, every new games they released you see improvement over the previous games. And of course, you need decent CPU to run the game smoothly. Ice Breaker is a physics based puzzle game where you have to cooperate with other vikings to save their friends from frozen ice. The environment doesn't stick on one screen, you can scroll through the screen with your mouse when moving near the side of the screen. There are 40 levels in Ice Breaker, a standard size of many nitrome games. The first few level is basically act as tutorial teaching you how to control and complete your objective. Just mouse over the sign board near your boat and you will see instruction popping up. To make thing easier, your objective is to save all the vikings in the map slicing through ice. Depends on where you sliced, ice will react accordingly through physics. Make them fall on your boat and your hammer guy will free them for you. As you progress, the game gets complicated and requires some thinking before you start slicing. If you made any mistake, no worries, click on the reset button on the top right of the screen. Each level you beat will be unlocked forever as long as you didn't clear your cache files. This is not something you can beat in one day, play a few levels and continue later when you have free time. The game isn't perfect, physics based usually have some minor quirks here and there even it was made by huge developer, Ice Breaker is no exception. Sometime it can be annoying when the ice doesn't drop as you expected, you might need to do some extra cut to make it slide. Slicing through ice is easy, click and drag your mouse from one point to another. Just remember that you can cut only a small area of ice, not the whole ice mountain. And you can't cut through rocks. Other than that, Ice Breaker is a very fun flash games that you could spend many hours on playing.
