Although it's not the same real time strategy you would find in COH, it gets the atmosphere right with enhanced defense games gameplay. When you thought that's the limit you can do with the defense game, Con Artist went a step ahead and created Warfare 1944. An appealing, fun and addicting real time strategy game set in Word War II. That being said, if you played flash based defense games before, it play pretty much the same. But Con Artist has added has very cool idea into it such as the cover system and unit special abilities that makes COH such a fun strategy games. In each mission, the battlefield is divided into three row and your objective is to force enemy's back at the end of the screen. To do that, you need good strategy and make good use of your soldier's strength & terrain advantages. Cover behind objects such as barrel and sand bags give you extra defensive points when fighting against the enemy's. To deploy a unit's, click on the units icon at the bottom right screen, then place it into the battlefield. Remember, each units cost you money, roll-over the icon of unit to see how much it cost to deploy. After you deploy the unit, it'll takes time for the same unit to build before it can be deploy to the battlefield again. Money replenish automatically over time. On the battlefield, everything is done automatically, your soldiers will keep charging forward until they reach a cover point or encounter enemies. To order your soldiers to advance forward from a cover point, click on the advance button at the bottom middle screen. On the same area you can find your units special abilities you can use against your enemies. Each enemy's you killed gain you certain experience points, and these points can be used to upgrade your units. The game graphics are also top notch, background graphics and animation are very well done creating tense in the battlefield. Watching your little soldiers fight in the screen are a pleasure, it never gets bored watching guns firing. Warfare 1944 is a fun game too play, it's easy to get into it and it never gets too difficult or complicated. I'm sure flash gamers would definitely find something enjoyable in this little flash game.
