Description: Here comes the latest games from Nitrome for the Halloween season I guess. A zombie theme rail shooter just like the classic time classic. The flash game seems to be a collaboration with miniclip. Although it's the usual old school pixel graphics, the gameplay is a lot different from the past. It's always a good thing to see developers trying out on new ideas, Graveyard Shift is a nice game to kill some zombies, but it's not as addictive as other Nitrome games in my opinion. If you have been a Nitrome fans, you know they don't just copy from other games. Graveyard Shift is a much simpler games and also a shorter one. There's much less level compared to others Nitrome game, it's good as more level only means more repetitive. Of course, that's not a;ways the case. Anyway, you start the level in order and unlock the next one after you complete a levels. The first level start easy to help you familiar with the game and controls, while you are moving you'll see instruction on how to play. Your object is to destroy zombies of course, but the most important thing is keep yourself alive. Killing zombies only help to reduce chances of being killed and gain points. The only way that could get you kill is when you lose all 5 lives by taking damages. And the only way to block it is by pressing space and move your shield to enemies attack or by killing them first before they can attack you. Although your bullets are unlimited and doesn't require you to reload, it does overheat from excessive firing. So pay extra attention to the heat gauge meter. To replenish lives, shoot at the medic box on the screen whenever you see one. There isn't really much to talk about Graveyard Shift as the gameplay simple and non brainer. Fortunately the game was saved by the wide variety of weapons and power-ups you can get throughout the game. The game would be very boring if there isn't any other weapons choices. Beside the very cool weapons, there's also a few area where you can interact with the environment. Now play this free flash games and enjoy killing zombies.
